I decided to make a HUGE nursing cover because the nursing covers I have (Utter Cover, Munchkin, other name brand covers) do not cover my baby when he is grabbing at the cover and pulling it up. (Not to mention he is 20 pounds!) I know there are a lot of moms out there that don't care about covering up and don't mind flaunting it all. If you are one of those women more power to you! I however, am not. That is why I made this. I made my cover a little bigger than I originally planned, but i still like it and use it. You can adjust the size to your wanting.
Okay, so I started by cutting two different pieces of fabric to the size. This will be the piece of material that covers some of your back starting at your shoulder, so you don't want it too big. I cut these pieces to 34" x 11 1/2"
If you have patterned material you will want to face them in towards each other, so you are able to see the wrong side of the pattern. Sew around three sides and leave one side with an 8" gap to flip the material right side in. As you can see I sewed too far in so I had a couple inch worth of material that I should have cut off. I was too lazy and just cut the corners, haha. Whoops.
